LagosPhoto 2011What’s Next Africa?  The Hidden Stories

African Artists’ Foundation (AAF) is proud to present the 2nd annual LagosPhoto Project, coming October 8th, 2011.

Did you know…  LagosPhoto is the only International Photography Festival in West Africa?  Last year with over 1,000 guests in attendance opening night, AAF (in collaboration with numerous sponsors and supporters) presented the inaugural LagosPhoto Festival.  The principal goal of LagosPhoto is to establish a community for contemporary photography that will unite artists and ideas from all across Africa.   It exhibits renowned International photographers as well as amateurs all of whom converge in Lagos for the Festival in October.  LagosPhoto features indoor exhibitions in addition to large-scale outdoor durable prints displayed throughout busy sections of the city.  It does this with the aim of reclaiming public spaces and engaging the general public, creating a truly unique event.

LagosPhoto will feature many exciting photographers this year including Mário Macilau, Nana Kofi Acquah, recent World Press Photo winner Jodi Bieber, Daniel Naudé, George Osodi, Daniele Tamagni, Peter DiCampo, Yuri Kozyrev, Kadir van Lohuizen and many others.
